FIRST AID AT WORK REFRESHER COURSE

We are currently taking bookings for our 2 day First Aid at Work Refresher course.

 

The course will run on Monday 29 & Tuesday 30 October 2018 at our centre.  The course runs from 9.00 am—4.00 pm.  The cost of the course is £130.00 plus VAT.

 

This training course offers personnel requiring renewal of existing certificates (3 years) the chance to re-certificate.  Persons attending this course must have valid certificates.

 

FIRST AID AT WORK 3 DAY COURSE – NOVEMBER 2018

We are currently taking bookings for our full 3 day First Aid at Work course.

 

The course will run on MONDAY 12—WEDNESDAY 14 NOVEMBER 2018 at our centre.  The course runs from 9.00 am—4.00 pm.  The cost of the course is £210.00 plus VAT per person

 

This course offers personnel requiring training to become Certificated First Aiders for the purposes of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

 

ABRASIVE WHEEL COURSE – OCTOBER 2018

ABRASIVE WHEELS

WEDNESDAY 17 OCTOBER 2018

We are currently taking bookings for the above course.

The 1/2 day course is to be held at our premises on Wednesday 17 October 2018 from 9:00 am—1:30 pm.

This training course offers operators of abrasive wheels from all types of industry the opportunity to be trained to the requirements of PROVISION & USE of WORK EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS (PUWER), including practical training.  Please bring PPE for the practical training.

Syllabus:

Introduction:   This training course offers operators of abrasive wheels from all types of industry the opportunity to be trained to the requirements of PUWER 98.

Objectives:      To provide knowledge on the safe use of Abrasive Wheels.  **TO INCLUDE PRACTICAL TRAINING** **PLEASE BRING PPE FOR PRACTICAL TRAINING**

Duration:         This is a ½ day course 9:00 am – 1:30 pm with 1/2 hour lunch break.

Syllabus:         Requirements of PUWER 98 in the context of abrasive wheels.

Hazards from the use of abrasive wheels.

Methods of marking abrasive wheels.

Methods of storing and handling abrasive wheels.

Methods of inspecting and testing abrasive wheels for damage.

The functions of all components used with abrasive wheels.

The proper method of dressing abrasive wheels.

The adjustment of the rest of an abrasive wheel.

Advisory literature associated with abrasive wheels.

The cost of the above course is £75 + VAT per person.

This is by way of an introduction to ATG new blog page it is intended that trainees at the centre and others will have an input into the material on this page we hope that trainees will participate by posting up information on some of the new skills that they have learnt and life generally from with in the workshop.  It is hoped that this will inspire others to take up the challenge and take up a rewarding career in Engineering.
