General Policy Statements

  1. The company regards the promotion of equal opportunities as an objective in the recruitment of staff and trainees.
  2. The Company, in all contracts with sub-contracts, promotes an Equal Opportunities Policy/ Equality Act 2010
  3. The implementation of this Policy is the responsibility of Garry Talbert, Managing Director, on behalf of the Angus Training Group Ltd.

Policy

  1. It is the policy of the Company to promote equal opportunities for all staff and trainees regardless of sex, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion and or belief, and age.
  2. It is the policy of the Company on advertising for staff or trainees to ensure that wording is inclusive and does not discriminate on the grounds of sex, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion and or belief, and age.
  3. It is the policy of the Company to deliver training programmes using training materials which are inclusive and do not discriminate on the grounds of sex, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion and or belief, and age.
  4. It is the policy of the Company to refer to this document on all contracts with sub-contractors.
  5. It is the policy of the Company to ensure that all trainee and staff selection and counselling procedures are inclusive and do not discriminate on the grounds of sex, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion and or belief, and age.
  6. It is the policy of the Company to ensure that all employees are aware of the commitment of Equal Opportunities/ Equality Act 2010 and abide by its objectives which are clearly understood.
  7. It is the policy of the Company to ensure that there is a clearly understood grievance procedure.
  8. The Company has a policy review procedure to ensure that discrimination does not take place.
  9. In accordance with Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003 it is the policy of the Company that employees will not adversely comment on another employee or a trainee’s religion, lack or religion, or particular belief
  10. The Company shall use the Modern Apprenticeship registration form process to collect anonymised information on Equal Opportunities. Any start other than through Modern Apprenticeships will still complete the form for analysis. On an annual basis this statistical information will be collated and evaluated. The results will be available for inspection on request.
